Before 1920 cardiovascular diseases were rare, today they stand for 40% of the deaths in the USA.

For a long time we assumed that saturated fat and cholosterol were the causes of cardiovascular disease. This is wrong.

During the time period 1910-1970 the consumption of saturated fats, that are mainly found in animal fats, have decreased by about 10%. The cholosterol intake has only increased by 1% in the last 80 years. Still the cardiovascular diseases continues to increase.

During these 80 years the consumption of margarines and refined oils have increased by 400%. The consumption of sugars and processed foods have increased by 60%.

Here we find the true criminals.

Innumerable studies from all over the world have shown that people who eat margarine and vegetable oils have considerably more cases of cardiovascular diseases than amongst people who eat animal fats.
