Oatmeal is a great cleanser for the face. Soak some over night and use the water in the morning, or mix some oats with water in your hand. It’s easier if you first mix the oatmeal to flour, but not necessary.
Almonds for deep cleansing
Pour hot water over almonds and peel off the skin. Let them dry and then mix them to flour. Blend some of the almond flour with tepid water in your hand and massage into your face. Don’t use if you’re allergic to almonds.
Extra virgin coconut oil is the best for the skin. Use all over your body.
Comfrey is a natural anti wrinkle herb and extremely good for the skin. Get a tincture and add a few drops to the coconut oil, or what ever cream you’re using, and apply to your face.
Massage olive oil or coconut oil into the hair and scalp, leave for a couple of hour or over night. Use shampoo on dry hair first, that makes it easier to get the oil out.
A good shampoo is based on herbs like nettle, birch, chamomile or golden rod.
It contains no surfactants or perhaps very mild ones, like Mipa Laureth Sulfate
Soap should not contain any strong chemicals either. I recommend olive soap.
Hair colors are not good for your skin, your hair or the environment. There are milder ones based on plant colors.
As a deodorant you could use baking soda. Pour some in your hand, add very little water, just enough to make a paste. Put in your armpits and on your feet. No smell.
