Carbohydrates

We need slow carbohydrates mainly from vegetables and secondly from whole grains. Fast carbohydrates like white bread, and sugar shoots the insulin to the top and cause diabetes type 2, celiac disease, obesity, acidity and ADD.

Fast carbohydrates; potatoes, carrots, corn, grains, pasta, cookies, sugar, artificial sweeteners
Slow carbohydrates; legumes, nuts, vegetables, non-starchy root vegetables, whole grains

These substances act different in the body.
Carbohydrates from most vegetables are fine, but grains, and sugars turn into glucose fast and the body must produce insulin to reestablish the blood sugar levels. When this happens the body wants to save energy by storing fat. The surplus carbohydrates are then turned into fat and stored in the body’s fat depots, and you will get fatter. High insulin levels suppress glucagon (which normally burns fat and sugar), and growth hormone (that builds muscles). It will also make you hungry (when the insulin lowers the blood sugar levels) and the body gets too acidic.

Eventually this can lead to:

High blood pressure
Higher cholesterol levels
Increased appetite
Increased osteoporosis
Type 2 diabetes
Autoimmune diseases
Celiac disease, gluten allergy
IBS, irritable bowel syndrome
Shorter life
